Wait a minute!!! I just tried it and guess what - it didn't show up. I wonder if there's a problem with it now? I have another skin on my device called Kikker but it doesn't allow the car collection. If I remember [I'll take a look now] Amigo has built-in cars that you can choose.

EDIT: Amigo DOES have a car collection. So does Primo. Interested?

Yes I am interested all I want is 2 things then i am done
1 to change position icon
2 verbal speed cam warning.
It will have to be easy as i am leaving Spain on May 1st for a 4 month tour (thats why i need the cam warnings)

In case you're interested in using another navigation program instead of iGO 8.3, here's the information. All the content that you now have in iGO 8.3 can be used in Amigo and Primo. However, in content\skin, delete everything.

You should make a change in your internal flash drive.

Plus, you have to change the path in your device's internal flash drive so it goes to Amigo. We can change the voice to Kate [UK] from the present US voice.

NOTE: You say that iGO 8.3 is working fine on your device so you may not want to change it. You just won't have a skin that can also give you a car collection but you'll have a great navigation program.

Ok I will stick with my igo as I am getting on with it ok i will give up the idea of a car as a icon.
But what sort of a major task is it to get audible voice warnings for speed cams i.e( warning speed cam ahead speed limit 80 mph,,,,,,etc)

Sorry my friend but I have to disagree. Skins go into content\skin and half-patches go into extension.

You're not going to get an actual speed warning. But in Amigo you do get a verbal warning when approaching, over-speed - depends upon what you choose.

Sorry to butt in here, and am a little confused as to which version of iGO y'all are working with, but if it's still 8.3x, and you suggest the diMka Megaduck skin with optional Speedcam Voice Files and Kimyacy OR 3D Car Collection, you can have it all. iGo and speedcams and cars...oh my.

I was reacting to the post 58-59-60 where you guys are talking about the skin.rar file. Even you Chas:

In content\skin was the whole skin .rar file you downloaded - should be nothing else.

When I said "A skin should be the extension .zip" I maybe should have better said "A skin should have the extension .zip" ?
But isn't it clear from what I wrote? Sorry to be not native English speaking. Then these grammatical errors happen.

BTW: unrarring Gurjon.rar gives (1) a skin in zipped form - to be copied in content/skin - and (2) a folder called extension - to be copied in iGO root.


Also I realize everyone better stays out of this thread because you two did a lot off screen by email. Which third party exactly knows what you did exactly? Clearly no one can tell anymore what iGO build (or Amigo) or what skin you guys are talking about. All info is missing.


Now I am going to keep my word. No further reaction from me!

Ok the story so far I have put back in the original igo and when i look in setting/About it says

I am sure that before I started playing with it I had speed cam voice alerts but now I don't. I think I may have messed up big time. Could this diMka Megaduck thing sort anything out if so how do i do it.
