i did i use :ui_igo8_da folder name ...thats the one i try with and i get errors...

Then try removing the _da in the sys.txt and change the file name in the data.zip back to just ui_igo8. Don't forget to save the sys.txt first before exiting the file.

To be completely honest with you, it's hard to diagnose errors when the device isn't right in front of me. I have to give it more thought. [color="red"] As for the message about losing settings, the other guys can work with you on that. [/color] BTW, are you using the sys.txt that I included with the download or did you change it to another one?

EDIT: What happens if you completely remove the skin entry in the interface section?

Hmmm! I'm a little confused. The sys.txt that I included with the download had NO skin entry in any section. So I ask again did you use MY sys.txt that you downloaded with the program that I helped create or did you use another sys.txt from another place? Also the correct entry is "ui_igo8" NOT " ui_igo8". Do you see the difference? Did you try what I told you in the above post and completely delete the entire skin entry from your sys.txt?

Use my sys.txt in place of the one you now have. The ONLY additions that you should make to any section[s] are the entries specific to your device. Again I remind you, make sure that you save the sys.txt in the file dropdown menu before exiting the file.

I see that your resolution is 800_480. That's one of the changes you have to make - from my 480_272.

Ok lets make sure first that i m using the right thing folders ,sys.txt and Igo.exe file...
i use everything from 2Din90500v2.rar file (sys.text data.zip branding.zip ,custom ,licence and other things whatever come in 2Din90500v2.rar
Then i was told just to replace Igo.exe ( in 2Din90500v2.rar) with the 8.3.4 build exe file (from family_reunion.rar) ...is this right thing to do? did i do it right??

I see all is gone wrong here. Reading the thread, I can't say what exactly is done and what changes are made where.
In fact, the guilty party where all trouble starts is the device manufacturer who changes the WindowsCE6.0 in a way some software (like iGO) don't find some needed Windows files.
I think the best thing to do is start all over and listen to one moderator only ! Too many cooks spoil the soup, right?

When you follow my lead, start over the installation on a formatted sd card. Use the 2Din90500v2.rar and the data.zip you downloaded. Do exactly as before.
When you try it, you probably get the error message you got before. I told it can happen.

Then use [Please Register or Login to download file] . Its a 33MB download, so that won't hurt to download it. (When asked for a password, it's navitotal)
Replace the .exe - and nothing else) on the sd card with the .exe from the last download and retry. That should solve the error message.
When iGO functions, that is it.

When it does not (it is rare, but can happen), download [Please Register or Login to download file] , unrar, (password is navitotal) and replace the data.zip on sd. Then try iGO again.

The instructions still have some (little is more accurate) value though the iGO build is outdated by now. Unless your device has really a lack of memory, I suggest you either try the igo or primo build (depending on your device) uploaded by chas521:
