On what device you are using Igo8

Try an other Igo8 download and unpack

It sounds like you may need something in your sys.txt file - maybe try restoring it back to sys.txt now that you've renamed the save folder.

Is the GPS stored on a removable SD card? If so, maybe check the SD card for corruption (put in a PC and check it via the disk properties). Also, are you using a cr@cked iGo8?

Also - has it ever worked?

Hi jtrosky,

Ok thanks,

Yes the GPS is on a micro sd card, i did try and copy it from the sd card to another sd card - but when i put that in the radio unit it did not reconise a sd card was inserted,

Im unsure if its a cr@cked version... as it was of ebay - so maybe ?

yes it has worked fine for a year then all of a sudden started crashing during naviagations .. then typing routes etc...

My guess is that the other MicroSD card didn't work either because it was too high capacity (or wrong "type" - SDXC usually won't work - sometimes, SDHC will, regular SD will always work) or it wasn't formated to FAT32 format. Can you confirm either of those? Depending on the exact head-unit, it may be a legit version of iGo8. Hard to say for sure.

If it worked fine for a year and then started having issues, I suspect either that the MicroSD card is going bad or it's corrupt. I would check it in Windows like I said above and see if Windows detects any corruption. You can also try formatting that other SD card with FAT32 and then see if it works.

Please post your results.

Post 1 said \SDMMC\iGO8.map not found)

So is your Navipad correct I suppose that you can edit (setup in the Din etc)

On the moment you have all the folders and files lose on the SD card if i am right.
If you place all the files and folders in a Folder named IGO8 on the SD card what happend then.

Thanks for your replies guys. Sorry haven't replied sooner currently away, I think the Micro sd card is corrupt, it's slow going through it and cannot delete or format it atm, I've scanned for errors on it which it does say there are errors.. But I'm unable to fix them.

Yeah, for how cheap SD cards are, I'd just buy a new card and then "upgrade" to the latest cr@cked version of Primo (if the version you are currently using is not cr@cked, simply copying the files to a new SD card won't work as a "legit" version of iGo is tied to a specific SD card).

If you know the resolution and amount of RAM you have in your head-unit, we can link you to an appropriate cr@cked version.

If you are in the US, I'm actually in the process of putting together Primo 2.4 archive geared towards "USA" users that will make it very easy for USA-based users to get up and running with iGo 2.4. It contains a lot of USA-specific "stuff" pre-loaded (US TTS voices, speed camera database, etc) as well as a nice, pre-loaded skin and some UX enhancements. You would just need to add your content (maps, pois, etc). If you are not in the US, you could still use it, but would need to add your own country-specific voices, speed-camera, lang files, etc...
