iGO on MIPS Procesor

Mon Sep 10, 2012 5:47 pm

Which iGO will run on my navigation without problems?
I have LG LAN8900EKSL mit RMI, MIPS32-Au13xx procesor.

If the device runs WinCE (preferably 5 or 6), and has at least 64MB Ram, it should run any version of iGo software. If less than 64MB Ram, you would be limited to iGo 8.3x.
If not, then no.
The processor is not as significant as the operating system.

Device runs Windows CE 6.0.
I try to start iGO Primo 1.2, than iGO Primo2.0, than iGO 8.3.5.193799, every time I got error message that the *.exe is not the Windows CE file.

I recall there was a really old version of iGO 8.3.2 which was compiled for the MIPS processor, but it was never cracked, MIPS devices are rare, so it's unlikely anything will get released.

I cannot, of course, see what you are clicking on to try to start the program(s), but all of the EXE files for any version of iGo are indeed "WinCE" programs.
I suppose it may be possible that your device has somehow been made 'proprietary', and can only run specialized software, but I have never seen such a thing. Not with a WinCE device, anyway.

I stand corrected on that issue. Never heard of such a thing.
Oops.
