Igo Nextgen on Android

Hi
My wife has Win CE on her head unit and I am pretty comfortable in the file structure etc and location on an SD card and setting the path.
I have recently installed an Android based head unit in my car but am unfamiliar with how Android files are structured etc.

I had read that the nav software needs to be in the Root (not sure what that is on Android) let alone how to find stuff (does it have File Manager like Windows?).

Is there a link I can follow to read up and learn about Igo on Android.
The unit currently has Igo NextGen Israel on it but I don't have a clue how to back it up or find it.
I was looking at updating the maps to the latest Australian maps available but don't want to stuff it up (hence wanting to do a back-up).

Any links / suggestionswill be really appreciated.
Also, how do I findthe correct maps etc to use for this installation.

FBL files (maps) go into content\map. Program should recognize them.

I have Googled a lot trying to find the ins / outs of IGO on Android with not much luck.
Anyone have links or advice?
