Skezza, I know man but tried but I run prepay month to month and usually top up every couple of months, and if I remember right the nokia / ovi map requires an internet connection to work? otherwise it wont work? That will eat up through my data rates in NZ. I wanted to use nokia maps but instead felt hey since its for a backup anyway and I carry a navman gps with igo primo, why not use the garmin as a backup in case I ever need it since it needs no internet and just functions like a regular GPS. Lol.

Fatboy, thanks, I will look into it a bit more, still trying to get familiar with garmin, I will probably ask the poi thing on the local NZ open maps forum too. Cant say I like garmin very much, Igo on an older navman just feels so much better. No wonder you only run navmans and Igo's. Take care man..:)
