For those interested, there is now a diMka-WA skin available (P170) specifically (and only) for Primo 2.4.

You may need to register (free) to see the page/link on that site...not yet available on main diMka site/page.

I have not tried it myself.

Thanks a lot. I replaced the main exe and the data for my resolution and now it works (I also changed global_cfg in content but I guess this is of no importance). Deleting the save folder was not necessary. The new diMkaWA_P170 skin works. By googling I found the following link(s) where registration is not required.

But I have no idea yet how it compares with the Primo 2.0.

In IGO primo 2.4 for win CE 6, there are a lot of POI, but why the name of that POI can not be displayed in the map, only the icon baloon, like "Dollar sign baloon", "shopping sign baloon" ?

can the name of the bank, for example "ABN Banks" shows in the maps while we are driving or in "FIND ON MAP display" ?

thanks.

The default POI icons are fairly generic and cannot show specific 'brands'. To do so, you can create your own POI/Icons, or, if Europe, use a custom pack such as is available here:
-iGo-Primo-2.0-Build-9.6.5.211211
Scroll to the near bottom and look for the section:
[color="#000080"]European full color POI Add-On Packs Updated Specifically for Primo 2.x:[/color]
Even though it says for Primo2/9.6.7, they also work for 2.4/9.6.13. Tried and tested by me.

Yes

Hello,
How can I do this? Right now I receive the error:
"user interface resolution 480x272 is not supported or compatible skin can not be found".
I checked in the data.zip and there is only a folder 800x480.
I have a NORTH CROSS ES 515 device (128 MB ram, 4GB flash, 600 MHz processor, 480x272). In the sys.txt I have no written info about the resolution. I use the same sys.txt for IGO Primo 2.4 previous versions and everything is fine.
I tried to edit sys.txt with the following:
[rawdisplay]
class="landscape"
screen_x=480
screen_y=272
but not worked.
The sys.txt looks like:
[device]
type="north cross es 515"
[interface]
extra_settings=1
[debug]
experimental_features=1
[debug]
reserve_memory=1835008
cache=2000000
[sound]
csv_voice_enabled=1
[gps]
port=7
baud=57600
Thank you in advance for your reply.

@ stephen154 : PM the uploader. It is his reponsability

@ parapanta : :confused: The upload, at least the original, has/had a data.zip with only 1 resolution, 480x272.

You have right! My fault! I talked about 9.6.13.267029. It has only one folder 800x480. I think there is no possibility to run it on a device with 480x272. Sorry for confusion and for spending your time. Thank you.

No problem.

A tip : replace the original 267029 (800x480) data.zip with the 263722 data.zip (480x272) and you probably have a working 2.4.
Or use the 263722 as downloaded in original form ;)

As other people, I did not see any major differences in 2.4 when compared to 2.0. However, I would like to point out a couple of things:

1. It definitely loads (much) faster in my Wayteq. But it looks the same when already "in".
2. It seems to me that the problem with Primo suggesting unnecessary turns (which has been mentioned in another post recently and I have also experienced myself) has been resolved.

Based on what you're saying here, I'll give it a try. However, just know that I will hunt you down if it doesn't work right - LOL.

hehe...Primo 2.0 was suggesting these unnecessary turns in (at least) two places in my city. It is difficult for me to recall the exact routes I had followed and the precise route settings, but so far I have not seen any problem of this type. I also tried some simulated navigations and they were good. So, I am not 100% sure, but I hope I am ... for my own health.

Well, possible.
I always believed the routing on Primo (v2.0) and iGO8 was determined by the quality of maps. Navteq maps gave me unnecessary detours on both around this area on different spots while TT/TA maps never did. That was a consistency I experienced during the years.
One of the reasons I keep defending TT/TA maps as best around here.

Still having the Navteq maps on my device, the recent Becker Primo 255253 gives me at least on one spot (where I got detours before) no illogical detour on a drive test last Wednesday, while on another spot, 255253 keeps entering a one way street from the wrong end (thus with NT maps, the same behaviour as iGO8 and Primo with NT maps). I must change the maps to TT/TA and see what happens now. But at least I know now a different build has influence on logical routing too. Not only maps have.
