iGo Primo Alert Speed

iGo Primo Alert Speed

Postby furat52 » Sat Nov 26, 2011 9:15 pm

I have iGo Primo installed on my China PND and it is working fine, but I have only one issue that the speed alert alerting me in miles instead of kilometer although all my settings read km/h, input in speedcam.txt 100 the alerting speed will be
160 and so on, also if I add a speed alert point through map browsing the result will be the same, any solution for this or may be any missing entry in sys.txt.

Probably you use TTS Pro, so if you use TTS Pro open with win.zip the voice file and find the file dictionary.voice, open it with a notepad and try to find the sentence :
The speed limit is %s .......
check at this point if you have miles or kilometers and delete the word miles or kilometers after the symbol %s.

Also you must check your lang.zip file at path :
Primo/content/lang/yours lang file
to find there if you have:
Km/h="miles/hour"
instead of
Km/h="kilometrs/hour"

HI,
1. I checked the file dictionary.voice in TTS voice and there is no miles nor kilometers after the symbol %s.
2. I changed the voice to non TTS.
3. I checked the file dictionary.lang in the folder lang and nothing mentioned related to km/h=miles/houre,
I added the line((Km/h="kilometrs/hour")) and went out for testing, the alert still in miles.

I once saw this in a sys.txt but I couldn't swear by it. You can try it if you like. Even it is doesn't work, no harm done.

[navigation]
show_speed="km/h"

EDIT: I should also add that speed information is usually added by the mapmaker. Try a different mapset and see what happens.

Sorry. See my edit above and here.

EDIT: It's a fault in the teleatlas Q4 2010 uk map. Try using navteq Q1 2011 instead.

Speed readings are created by the mapmakers. Have you tried a different mapset? Look in the map sub-section here. Since you are using Navteq, try TA.

All speed displayed and/or announced are in km/h, speed limit, speed announcment while routing, speedo meter all of them are in km/h the only thing in miles/h is the speed camera warning although it set to km/h

I got called away but now I'm back. Are you using a different skin rather than the default?

Where did you get the download? Can you link to it here? Where did you get the speedcam [warnings] from?
