Yes, I think you did. What you got is the IPHONE version of Primo that will only run on IOS (Apple) devices, and there is no chance whatsoever that you will ever get it to run on your in-dash (probably WinCE based) unit.
No chance at all.

my indash does indeed run wince 6.0....so there is NO way to get this to work???

Download either igo8.3, or any version of Primo (1.1, 1.2, 2.0) which should work on your wince unit provided you have enough RAM (64 mb minimum).

Also, you can extract the content (maps, pois, etc) from the .ipa file. Just use winrar to open the .ipa file and you will have the latest igo maps from itunes!

Never.
Impossible.
Without a doubt...no way.

Glad it's (mostly) working for you!

You live and learn, eh? :)

What voice are you using? Did you add your own from somewhere? If so, it may not be Primo 2.0 compatible. Either use one of the Non-TTS voices that came with the package, or install one or more TTS voices from here:

Thanks.

not sure kamoteka

YT, need a little help....ive still got NO SOUND from my igo...everything else works great. i grabbed the voice files under your link and installed as instructed and still, no sound. here is the funny thing though...when i press any icon in igo i can hear the faintest beep, its so low that it sounds like it may be an internal speaker in the unit but i know for a fact that this unit has no internal speaker. that being said it seems that the program is recognizing that it should make sound, but the sound that comes out is never words, just the super soft beep....where would you suggest i go from here? system is running wince 6.0, maybe there is some other volume controller that i just havent found in igo yet but ive tried everything else.

1) Are all the volume sliders within the Primo settings set to maximum?
2) When you go to set a voice in settings-->Sound and Warnings, etc do you hear a sample of the voice (even very quietly)?

3) Your in-dash/head unit may have specific settings for volume for Navigation apps or other 'external' programs. If this is the case, I can't help you there as I have no knowledge of your hardware device or how it works. If you can get to the WinCE settings/desktop on the device, make sure the volume is set to maximum there also.

all sliders are set to max....when i go to settings there is NO sample that i can hear...however, when i select one i can hear a change in the speaker tone in the vehicle for the duration the clip is playing. also, if i go to music and play one of the samples it does the exact same thing.

as for the unit itself, i cannot find anything that is source volume related, although i know for a fact that each source does indeed have its own volume controller as when you switch between sources the volumes change related to the last level you had on that source....ill do some more digging down that path.

To me, it would appear that the issue is not with Primo (even at default install settings, the volume is loud enough to hear), but with the device it is installed on, or the settings for same. SOMEWHERE on the device, the volume is not loud enough, or something else is not right (even the wiring to the car/speakers could be involved). Let us know how you get on with it..you may need to contact the manufacturer, instruction manual, installation guide, or somewhere where somebody else may have an identical unit.

Does the unit have a headphone/external speaker jack? If so, try that too.

Silly question. But is there a "mute" button?
