Igo Primo 2.0 gps anomaly?

Postby Polocl » Sun Jun 16, 2013 6:02 pm

Hello there, I am an elderly newbie on your site and thank all who help us novices.
I have a binatone F430 with 64 mb ram and working on windows ce 6.0.
I have been running primo 1.2 successfully for a while and have now installed primo 2.0 with the optimised version from Fatboyfun (thanks) and run the memory fix program. Also have DimkaWA 1.5.6 skin.

I appear to have things running ok and have tested it locally in navigation mode with success.

I appear to have a problem with the GPS info screen in that sometimes it shows green/red sats on screen when signals ok but after switching off and then starting again I get strong signal but no indication of sats on screen although navigation mode runs ok even without the sats showing. then after switching off and restarting again the sats reappear and system still works ok. At all times the small signal icon at top right of screen shows max signal.

Does anyone know as to why this anomaly occurs? Thanks

I have seen this, I never figured out why it happens, but running another GPS app first seemed to cure it, I put it down to a software issue with the type of GPS receiver fitted.

Thanks for your reply it is appreciated. It is strange that everything seems to be working ok other than the signal screen. I will stick at it and if I find the reason will post my findings. Thanks again
