I apologise in advance if this question has been answered elsewhere, but I have not been able to find it.
I have a Dynavin D99 running iGO Primo 2 build 9.6.5.211211. The unit runs fine in my car the only issue I have is on approaching speed cameras.
It starts by making a soft chime every second as you approach, then as you get closer that changes to a very high pitched (and annoying) "chirp". It will continue to make this sound until you have crossed teh light..... so if you are sat at the light........ annoying.
I like an audible warning on approach to speed / red light cameras, so no real issue with the warning except.... how could I change the "chirp" to just one soft "chime" that repeats less frequently. If I can't have it repeat less frequently, then at least how do I change the chirp to something less annoying?
In anticipation of your request, I have posted the contents of my sys.txt file :

If you use the diMka skin (not sure about the standard interface), you have many options..you can use a TTS voice to read out alerts (instead of the 'chime') and/or you can choose the sound and sometimes the distance at which it happens.
For TTS Read-Out:
Go to Settings>Sounds and Warnings>TTS Pro>Read Out Alert Points..Tick Box>Tap Arrow>Choose what you want vocalized and make other adjustments you may like.
For alert sound options (the TTS option above must be unticked):
Settings>Sounds and Warnings>Alert Point Settings>Alert Point Warnings (tick)>Scroll to Audio Warning>Choose"Primo sound" for standard sounds>Etc. Using 'standard' alert sounds some options such as distance are not able to be changed.
TTS Pro offers the most adjustments.

Thanks YT - please excuse the delayed response - I swapped over to the diMka skin, configured it and have been testing today. Much much better thanks - I can now at least get rid of the irritating "chirp". I do notice two things though that I would love some help with; I not in the diMka skin there is an option for voice announcement of the alert points that is independent of TTS. There are a list of voices, but they all seem to want to come from ui_igo9\audio\voices\en etc etc. I don't have a ui_igo9 directory, so whilst the voices show, they don't actually work. How do I get these voices / directory?
secondly, when using TTS, on approach to a speed camera, the voice cuts out - it starts "red light an...." then cuts out there. Any clues?

If you want to try non-TTS speed warnings, etc...go here:
[Please Register or Login to download file] scroll almost all the way to the bottom of the page and choose to download what you want. Follow the (somewhat confusing) instructions on where to put them. Any indicated folders that you may not have, just create them in the correct places. Obviously, you cannot have both the TTS and pre-recorded Non-TTS announcements at the same time.

Could be any number of things...run out of usable RAM, something else running or conflicting, etc. TTS takes a huge chunk of memory to run without pauses/stuttering. Sometimes something as simple as disabling something else that takes Big Ram (3d effects like DEM, Car Cursors, Buildings, etc) that is not that important will free up enough for the TTS to be smoother.

Depending on which version of iGO Primo you have, you have a choice between normal TTS or TTS Pro
