Postby winger1955 » Mon Sep 08, 2014 4:09 pm

Hi Guys

New to all this so be gentle, I have installed a Philips CED1800BT in my car, and have put IGO Primo 2.0 on the SD card, but it just shuts down after about 5 minutes, can anyone suggest what to do next?? A bit more info, it will stay on when stationary but when I move it just shuts down when in map mode, it will stay on if on the move if I am in the menu but as soon as I show map it just shuts down.

Thanks in advance

Roy

Can you explain "shuts down"?

Error message, countdown screen?

Hi Guys

When I say it shuts down, it just disappears from the screen, I have checked the text.sys file and the screen resolution is 800x400 which is no problem, that and the gps and elu is all that is in the sys file, it stays on if I do not move the car, and if I am in the menu and moving, but as soon as I switch to map view it just disappears after 3-4 minutes, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Roy

What about the other functions? I am thinking of a hardware fault, either memory or screen related.
Can you set up a route - preferably more than one (short, and then longer) - and do the demo route?

Im thinking its your unit. Try a SD card with only music on it and see if that does the same.

Mostly the problem lies in data.zip.
Deleting map save did not help I presume?

Try another data.zip suitable for Primo 2.0. The combination data.zip and Primo.exe is important.

My Primo 2.4 needs to be re-upped then. I have time to do it now. Look later at the thread.
