i erase each time the save folder, & make a reset of the device.

the 1st choice is English UK or US
the 2nd choice has 4 pages with US, UK, & AUS choices, male or female voices.

A FFUI error is usually related to a faulty data.zip or branding.zip, check whether they open in winrar, you can test integrity etc.

BTW which extraction programme are you using?

i've put th branding.zip & the data.zip from my moi, but nothing better.
i'm using winrar tou unzip by default.
do you think it could be better with 7zip ?
are you still using a viamichelin X960 actually ?

1, Which winrar as some users have problems with anything over version 3
2, Nope
3, I've never had one.

I assumed that it was what you had in your sys.txt since you showed it in your post. It is NOT a Mio program. It is a general program for WinCE devices. Did I read your reply correctly? Did I see that you replaced the data and branding.zips with your own rather than using what I had in the downloaded program? If so, no wonder you're getting a data.zip error.

naturally, i've used the branding & data zip from the file DL here.
as it started but didn't work , & according to what you said, i've tested the both files coming from my mio, & from the primo file i tested before.
one by one, and crossed with the original files

I'm glad that you used my data and branding.zips because they are both for my program. Please so not mix any Primo files with iGO8 files. My iGO8 program should work nicely on a WinCE 4.2 device. Let me think some more.

Try adding this to your sys.txt. Remember to change the 800 and 480 values.

[interface]
resolution_dir="800_480"
vga=0

[rawdisplay]
highres=0
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
class="landscape"

Don't forget to delete the save folder.

Is it possible that your resolution is something else besides 320_240?

Re: igo primo on michelin X960

the resolution of the device is 320 X 240
well, i've tried your indications in vain !!
i've even changed your sys.txt by mine, from the mio, wich is issued from an HTC
the device starts the same way and still the error massage when "mainscreen load" appears at the bottom of the screen.
i erase the save folder & make a reset each time
should it come from something other, according to the change of the whole sys.txt ?
i'm getting white hairs ....................

I don't know why it doesn't work for you, but see this thread... general-discussions-about-igo-core-f87/which-igo-engine-should-use-via-michelin-t4632.html

Ask catsmokey or marcy99 what they did/used

Re: igo primo on michelin X960

for sure, i encountered a problem with the igo8 version i've tried to install
i've just put the whole igo primo from my moi, and it's working the same as my moi.
so the problem must come from the data.zip
i'm running igo8 8.3.4.102680
my question will seems stupid to you, but is it possible to make a mix of the data.zip?

Re: igo primo on michelin X960

No, they're usually iGO version specific, and some skins require a custom version.

Re: igo primo on michelin X960

Mon Aug 25, 2014 9:12 pm

so, could i have a conclusion, that the data. zip i've installed is corrupted?
and if so, where could i find a worling one?
i think the whole file i've DL has been modified from the 1st time chas521 has put it here
could you, fatboyfun or chas521, DL it to say to me if i'm right or wrong in my thought ?

First of all, that Program and ALL it's elements are not Mio device specific. Why it's not working for you, I don't know. All I do know is that it works fine for me and thousands of other folks. Did you try re-downloading it again? It's possible that you got a bad d/l - I guess.

You can try this Primo but it may not work for you. Give it a try anyway.
