Igo Primo Switched off on head unit now will not start

Postby zigthekid » Thu Dec 22, 2016 8:32 am

I have a generic Chinese 2 din head unit running windows CE. The other day after finishing a journey Igo asked if this was my final destination to which I confirmed yes. Beside the confirm Icons was a power off button in red which lead me to believe that it would shut down the program which I touched.

Now when I start the GPS on the head unit all I get is a blank screen. GPS is enabled in the head unit main features so I assume it should work as normal but this does not seem to be the case. Any help appreciated. Incidentally the two Icons GPS or Setup do not appear on the unit as previously before.

Pull the fuse for the head unit (or disconnect your battery).

Reconnect. Fixed.

No matter what anyone says, it's very important to properly exit the program! :023:
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

That isn't the problem. The iGo shutdown thing calls an actual shutdown. Most of these head units never shutdown, they simply suspend WinCE in a low powered state. If you shut down, they cannot recover from that state. Pull fuse, put back in. It'll boot up fine.
