chas521 wrote:Good. My version [iGO8] is MUCH better than anything else you might download because I modified some things in it that you won't find elsewhere. Now, here's what I want you to do next:
1. Make a backup copy of your internal files/folders to your computer before you do any editing.
2. On a new SD card, create a folder called igo8 and copy all the files/folders in the download to that folder. I'm assuming that you used the new single link to download and not the two-parts link[s].
3. Edit the path on your device to SDCard\igo8\igo8.exe or leave it like it is and rename the folder from igo8 to nng and the igo8.exe to nngnavi.exe.
4. Put the new SD card in your device and start your device.
5. The iGO8 should start. It has a basemap that is not for navigation but it should work with the program.
6. Post your results.

chas521 wrote:All it is saying is that the device can't find the correct path to the igo.exe so the program can start. This is something you'll have to experiment with because your device is not in front of me. Try both choices I gave you above in #3 post #20.

chas521 wrote:Did the program start OK showing the "blank" basemap? Where do you live so we can add content? I'm usually not here tomorrow [Sunday] because I'm on the golf course with friends asking myself why I play this game - after I hit a bad shot. I bring that up because I want to do this today.
After we do some content, we can do the TTS issue. Download "Textpad" to do this. BTW, it's free. [Please Register or Login to download file]
Good for you that you got the program going!
EDIT: I just noticed that EB, NB and etc. are already contained in the TTS pronunciation folder of my program. So you might not need to download Textpad or even do anything else except to add content. Post your results.
