Hello, I bought an Erisin 1016 GPS unit with IGO and no matter what I try I canot get the camera alert to work.
I have done the following:
1. Deleted the unused .txt file and added new camera file in the speed camera folder. The icons did not display on the map??
2. Manually programmed each camera location as a POI and speed camera. Cameras now appear on map.
3. Programmed alerts for visual and audible on approach however have speed also programmed maybe I should set to zero?
Any ideas why I cannot have audible and visual warning?
Thanks very much
Randy

You don't say what iGO program you're talking about and you don't say where you need them. We can't help without that information.

Sorry looks like IGO8 it was preloaded on the Erisin 1016 double din head unit:
[interface]
skin="ui_igo8"
vga=0
mapfontscale=100
show_exit=1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Process Name PID BaseAddr ParentPID PrioBase
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
iGO8.exe 0xffcbac82 0x10000000 0x00000000 0x00000003
I am in Calgary Alberta Canada, and just would like any speedcam alerts like flashing icon and voice via manually added POI entries or the speedcam folder and or edited .txt entry with my local speed cam coordinates.
Thank you and sorry I am new to this way of doing GPS mods.

Did you get your iGO on the road yet with a satellite lock? When you not have done that, the speedcams won't show.

Sat bars at full, it also lets me plot to any address I add with a driving route.
Thanks

Sorry, but I need some clarification here. You have driven with satellite lock and a route set up? Are there in reality speedcams on that route? Did they show up or not?
If not, to rule out the speedcam file misses that one(s), can you explore the map in iGO and see speedcams on other places?
Also check the contents of /content/speedcam folder. Where did you get the speedcam file?
And what iGO build? (you can give the igo.exe file date that shows in Windows explorer)

This is the Canadian speedcam.txt file from 6/12. Backup what you have in content\speedcam first, then delete it all. Then copy ONLY the newly downloaded .txt file to content\speedcam. Re-start your device and iGO8 and let the program create the files it needs. You MUST have a satellite lock in order to see the redlight option in settings.

Press reload or refresh after pressing thanks.

I broke down and paid for an up to date camera .txt deleted everything in the speedcam folder cut and pasted the new file do a reboot and it works!
Now even though I confirmed alert was checked off I had to go into another menu had a icon of a camera thingy and a car had to highlight them (lit circle around each icon) and then it worked completely.
Would love to replace the tone with a voice warning next.
Thanks again
