[color="#FF0000"]That[/color] is the "Direction Type"----currently set in the example to 'All Directions'.
If you change the 0 to 1, then the theory is that you would only get an alert based on the direction of the side of the street that the camera is located, in the direction of traffic.
For cameras located at an intersection, this is a bit more complicated to define direction.
mariop1 wrote:atnav shows a speedcam in some street with 100mile speed limits but i know that there are no speedcam there

Don't be so sure about that...your database may contain Mobile Cameras which show their last REPORTED position, but they can move (obviously), and be anywhere and hard to spot. Better to be alert in an area where known mobile cameras were....they could come back.
mariop1 wrote:a way to identify the uk speedcam

If you can roughly identify your areas by latitude and longitude (such as 1.5594400,42.5219400 in the example), then you can change only within that range if you want to go to the trouble.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

As that example is, yes that would be correct.

Certainly, some downloadable databases can contain errors (too many speedcams or not enough). Not enough is worse, I think.
With some skins you can edit easily to remove or add speedcams directly on the Map View.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

This will allow you to have a "3d" car in iGo8x with no skin, or with any skin.....but only one, no choices nor changing it within the program.
Download:
[Please Register or Login to download file]

3.2MB, no password

Extract RAR file on your PC.
Choose ONE car folder from the choices (sorry, no preview or ability to see it before you add it).
Open that {car} folder of your choice and copy the gfx folder to the root of your igo8 install on your device or SD Card so the folder is like this:
{main iGo8 folder}
>branding.zip
>data.zip
>sys.txt
>content (folder)
>license (folder)
>gfx (folder)
>(any other folders or files)

Open your existing sys.txt and add this:

[Map]
3D_scale_carmodel=1
3Dcarsizemin=7000
3Dcarsizemax=8000

You can adjust the size numbers later, if you choose.
Save sys.txt.

Start iGo8 on your device, go to map view, and you should see your chosen car.
To change to some other car, delete the folder gfx under iGo8 and copy over another gfx folder from another car folder in the download.

PS; and no, I will not make you (or anybody else) any additional car choices. If you don't like the selections, find some more somewhere else.

[color="#FF0000"]I hope this answer is "good enough" for you.[/color]
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Regarding The 3D cars: the car shows up when i turn the device on but when the gps lock on the car disappears. if im under a tunnels and the gps signal goes the car appeares again then disappear when the gps lock on. also i tried in Simulate and Fly over but the car does not show up. I added the lines under map in the sys file as you said.

Are you sure, as in POSITIVE, that you have the map set in 3D View (not 2D)?

3D enhancements will not show in 2D mode.

If you are sure that you are always in 3D mode, then something is wrong with your install, or other entries in your sys.txt.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

I am not the iGo8x expert around here.....I don't even USE the program except to occasionally test things for people using an emulator.
You want nabi, Chas521, or Fatboyfun to try to figure out why 3D things disappear when you get a GPS lock.
For them, I am posting your sys.txt below if they want to try to figure it out for you:

I read elsewhere that perhaps you are using an iGo8 installation from somewhere else now (not the one from Chas521). If that is the case, he may not want to take the time to try to fix what somebody else may have done, or not done.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

From a quick glance you have two [map] sections in your sys.txt

Combine them both into one and check for more double entries...

You also may want to delete your save folder and re-do the options. The absolute worst thing you can do is to go from forum to forum and add/delete or even create something new because then we have NO idea what you have or what might be causing a conflict of sorts. I have said this a few times now. Stay with Navitotal because we offer the best support. If we cannot help THEN WE will point you elsewhere.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

Did you do what Fatboyfun suggested in post #26? There appear to be two similar entries. Delete either/or but write down the numbers.

[map]
3D_scale_carmodel=1
3Dcarsizemin=7000
3Dcarsizemax=8000
2dheadup=1
3d_max_tiltlevel=10000
3d_max_zoomlevel=3000
3d_min_zoomlevel=40
3d_max_zfar=2000
stop_rotate_on_map_move=1

[map]
3d_scale_carmodel=1
3dcarsizemin=3500
3dcarsizemax=5000
3dcarsizemul=10000
