We could use some more info. What iGO build? Where you got it?
The error message "iGO8.map not found" is in crash.txt? Then don't worry about it. The maps are not the cause of the crash, but it means your iGO is a non official one.

Copying an installation from one device to another can give problems, did you delete the save folder and checked the resolutions in sys.txt?

I know nothing about postcodes. I'm from the US. You can go here http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?6880-Igo8-March-16-2011

Open the sys.txt in Notepad and remove the [folders] section.

Within the sys.txt, will be references to the resolution, like...

[interface]
resolution_dir="320_240"

...and there may be a...

[rawdisplay]

section.

Change the numerical values to match your screen resolution, ie...

[interface]
resolution_dir="800_480"

Also you may need to edit the gps section...

[gps]
Port=7
Baud=57600

...to match your device's settings!
