Although NNG calls its android navigation software igo, it (android version) is actually amigo.
The skin file (data.gro) and the lang files are .gro not .zip.

In other words, it's user interface is not 8.3.x and it's not as good as the 8.3.x, right?

Why not try it ?. Look in the Android section.

It's user interface is exactly like amigo. The last version though (iGOMyWay_8.4.2.139242) already has the turn-by-turn directions available. This was not made present on other earlier versions of amigo.

That's an iGO8.4.x thread, not 8.3.x. They are very different...

Look again what kamoteka was saying (see post #2 and #5)

O.K. My question was: Does iGO8.3.x exsist for Android OS ?
And looks like the answer is NO. You try to make a simple thing complicated.:wallbash:
Why people talk about Amigo and My Way? iGO8.3.x ≠ iGO8.4.x or Amigo or My Way

You are right, but it seemed you understood it clearly when I read your post#3.
It's obvious I had it wrong :o

@ervin260

Are you asking can ANY iGO program that you may download from here be used in Android? The answer is NO. Android programs require files/folders of their own and are thus a separate thing. Ultimately, the nav program is the same. If you read between the lines in the above posts, every one is kinda saying that. So, in essence, your question was answered. I will apologize if the answer was not as direct as you would like it.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

For reference Android is Linux based while the iGO versions available from this sub-forum are Windows CE based, Therefore the iGO program had to be rewritten entirely for Android devices.
