IGO8-Primo1.2 missing "[email protected]" + crea

Postby jenom » Sat Sep 10, 2011 8:01 pm

On my 320x240 Invion unit, when I try to run Primo, it complains about missing "[email protected]" file
I did extract DATA.ZIP, and looked for it in "UI_IGO" folder
In the 480x272, there is a similarly named file, so I renamed it to a needed name and copied it to a 320x240 filder
Then re-zipped all files in DATA to DATA.ZIP........however program now does not starts with newly created DATA.ZIP !
(Still starts up with saved old DATA.ZIP)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tried different compression modes with WINZIP and 7ZIP......IGO still does not work with any of the new DATA.ZIP!
Any suggestion, what is the proper way to create a readable DATA.ZIP ???
Thanks!

When editing data.zip's, I use Winrar and make the edits while it's still zipped up. Winrar (and poss others) allows you to read/open, add, delete, copy and edit files while inside an archive.

I always use Total commander (with build-in unzipper) to makes changes in a file. The unzip is internal (in TC) an so far, I have had no troubles. The changes can be add or delete files or even text changes (press F4 - Windows version)an all within zipped or rarred files !!
TotalCommander can be found here : http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?3860-Total-Commander

Now what you should do is this:
The files map_housenumber_bg.bmp and map_housenumber_heading.bmp are missing from the 320x240 resolution dir. Copy those files from the 480x272 resolution and it will work. Copy in TC is easy. Open the 320 dir in one window, the 480 dir in the other window. Select the bmp file in the 480 dir and press F5 (TotalCommander - PC version), then go 1 level up (click on ".." symbol.
Hope this helps.

u need 2 files from the 480x272 [ map_housenumber_bg.bmp & map_housenumber_heading.bmp ]
if you are having error cannot open/find map_housenumber trying to view map in a 320_240, don't panic it is a simple fix, as posted by marcy99, just copy and paste both files from 480_272: as follows:-
1. Copy data.zip from SD card to hard drive (it’s much faster to add files to zip whilst on the pc than it is on SD card)
2. Open data.zip + click on folder ui_igo9
3. Go to folder 480_272
4. Navigate to and copy and paste both map_housenumber_bg.bmp & map_housenumber_heading.bmp to desktop
5. Go to folder 320_240 add both files (from above) using add button on top of zip window
6. Replace new data.zip with one on SD card
7. Restart iGO Primo & you are done.
this worked for me.
