hi all,is there a way to increase screen res for net book use,ive been having a play around with wince emulators and igo8,loads up ok,navigates through menus ok.I've not sourced a gps antenna as yet so can't say it all runs smoothly,I would just like to get it to fill the screen a little more.Res of the screen is 1024x600,at the moment it's using 800x480.Also can truck settings be added to igo8 as this is my main use,thought I'd seen something about this but can't remember where.

Did you see this? It has larger resolution.

Thanks Chas,I do not know how i didn't see that thread,maybe the more you look,the less you see.Had a little play with it and all seems good.I'm not too sure if I'll use it but it passed a little time.

If you're using the emulator you can edit the .bat file to include whatever resolution you need, make sure you use a resolution that IGO supports though.

thanks for the input fbf,got it all working ok using the info in the link from chas,also have a version of dimka working.can't seem to get any truck settings though,which was the main reason for trying it.i was after a better screen quality than the 2din generic chinese unit.think I may go down the android route for a better view,have tried varoius methods of shielding from sunlight,nothing really effective though.still,if you don't try you don't get.cheers.

The truck files (.ftr) which contain the road weights and width/height limits are primo only as far as I'm aware, so I doubt it can be added to IGO 8.

kinda sussed that out after loading mapset and only fbl showed up in system,never mind,was worth experimenting,learnt something too.
