Excellent!
Sometimes the very first startup (of anything new) can be a little slow...it probably was not frozen, but 'thinking' and configuring things---as it should.
The specs of your device are good; 128MB Ram, very large internal storage, etc..so you should be able to do just about anything you want with any advanced options, add-ons, and stuff.
Or, just add your maps and go!

You will probably have many more questions. Just ask. People here want to help.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Yeh his specs are good. My device has on 60MB Ram 475Mhz processor, and is overall pretty slow. And then with the entire US-Canada maps, Dem, speedcams, tts-pro, and much more, the initial startup after deleting the save folder is really long. But I'm glad he got it working now.

Have a look here:
:link:I

As Hogan7777 said, the 3D terrain effect comes from a DEM file..most are large (very large), and consist of a whole continent or hemisphere. Do not be surprised if the ones you see are old...they rarely change and can be years old.

Other 3D effects come from Building files...but they really only work in major big cities where they are available.

For Europe maps (which generally includes the UK) a point of contention between otherwise friendly MODS is whether Navteq or TomTom (formerly Teleatlas) are best. I live in Europe and use Navteq mostly because I like the Driver Alerts that are available with Navteq maps, and I find no major errors with the maps. Others argue that Teleatlas (TomTom) maps are more accurate for most of Europe. Honestly, I don't find much difference between them....but I don't get out much.:lol:
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Found this solution posted by Lucky-phill on another forum. Tested it and it works for me.

Add the following to the sys.txt file:

[network]
available = 0
