loading.bmp file

Postby dannyu » Wed Sep 26, 2012 4:28 pm

Hi All,

My IGO8 suddenly fails to run and is giving me this message:

failed to open file:
igo\480_272\loading.bmp
exiting application

what does it mean?
I tried looking for a solution but so far came up with nothing.
I found a file with that name under inside the file \data.zip\ui_igo8\480_272\.
Any idea why it does that, what has caused the unit (MIO520) to do that
or how to overcome this?

Thank you,
Danny

"Suddenly"? Really? It was working fine previously, and nothing else was done between the time it worked and the time it did not?
Code: Select all
igo\480_272\loading.bmp

That is not a valid path.

It means your loading.bmp file is missing, corrupt, or not where it is supposed to be.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

I believe that Danny is using my iGO8 program. I KNOW it's 100% so he must have done something. On my device it is working just fine.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Thank you Chas521 and Yurbuh Tuggly,

I have no idea what has happened, and yes I'm using Chas521's unlock utility (which is working fine).
I just resolved this by deleting the IGO8 directory and reloading a fresh IGO8 from my removable USB HDD.
Now it's working again just fine.

Thank you for your help,
Danny

I'm glad to hear that you got it straightened out. BUT!!!! You've been here enough [and I know that you've read my post[s] for members not to go anywhere else and download their stuff because it corrupts Navitotal's good stuff.

Thank you Chas521,

Yes, I know that. Navitotal has been a source of the best stuff always.
I'm sure that all the members are enjoying this fact as much as I do.

Thank you,
Danny
