Low memory Mio C250

Low memory Mio C250

Postby diavas2007 » Wed Dec 05, 2012 2:36 pm

Hi! I installed Igo8 with Navteq Q1.2012 in Mio C250 but when I try to calculate a long way I get Low memory error. I wonder if is possible to use program from your instructions below ?
I can't find this attachment program.

Download the attachment
Extract the files and copy to the Primo folder
Delete oscar91adm.ini in the root of the SD card
Reboot device and use the file explorer to select Primo\Start.exe

I assumed that the iGO executable is iGO.exe, rename it if it isn't

Now your memory division should be set to give you maximum memory instead of a 50/50 split .

It appears that Fatboyfun was working with you. As soon as he sees this thread, I'm sure he will respond. Too many cooks spoil the brew.

What unlock are you using? Look here http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?1074-Simple-Unlock-for-CE-5.0-and-4.2-core-devices post #55. What program are you using?

Sorry for my late reply! I use Mortscript.exe and Oscar91adm.exe (mscr) to run Igo8 program from sdcard but I can't resolve this low memory problem when i try to calculate a route very long. I tried with all kind of settings in Igo8 sys.txt but nothing. I don't know what to do or how to change memory settings for Igo8 ? Or I must change Igo8 with Miomap 2008 or Don't pannic ?

I don't know the C250 personally, but you run the script through the Oscar91adm.exe which sets the memory division and then starts iGO.

You can open the .mscr file with Notepad and play with the numerical value (in red) after the RunWait (SystemPath("ScriptPath)\"SetSystemMemoryDivisionKB.exe", 512)

Try setting it to 1024, 512, 256, 128 etc, it may be that the app can't set the value, so try a slightly larger number.

Ideally you want as low as possible, but if you go too low it won't do it.
