Postby waltb » Tue Nov 09, 2010 10:17 pm

I have been trying to get this combo to work but I keep getting "out of memory" error.
This unit has 128MB of ram.

I just want to use tts voices. No need for other frills.

Use NA Maps

Please Help

Other than the maps and voices, do you have other content trying to load?
If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Next, where did you get the iGO 8.3 program and where did you get the maps? Can you link to where you got it if you got it from here? Also, what version number do you have? To see it, go to settings, 2nd page, about. Do you get any voices at all - non-TTS? In order to have TTS, you need a PNA version not a PDA versions.

EDIT: Are you sure that your device has 128MB RAM? I can't find that specification anywhere. In order to have TTS you must have a minimum of 64MB.

I am using NavngoIgo8
8.3.4.117940
Nov 3 2009

I have tts voice but that is about it. It runs out of memory trying to navigate to a destination.
I am sure that I have 128 med of ram as it is stated on the box.
I am using chas 521 voices and tts that I downloaded from here.

Walt,
Let me give you the possible reasons why you might get an error message. I asked you about content because that is usually #1. Dem files are memory intensive [you can delete them with no problems], speedcam file might be too large, TTS can cause memory problems, too many maps trying to load. My TTS_LOQ package plus the voices should NOT cause any memory problems unless you have less than 64 MB.

Is there a link you can send me to in order to see ALL the specifications?

EDIT: Did you look here? http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?1837-Working-iGO-8.3-from-my-device
