Map changer

Postby ovalball » Mon Sep 03, 2012 12:56 pm

Now that I have TMC up and running,I would really like to do the same with map hanger.I downloaded and installed Primo 2 international edition, and think I have followed the instructions to the letter.I have installed Navteq maps into primo2/content/map_nq and have teleatlas(Tom Tom) in the primo2/content/map folder.I have the map hanger installed in utilities. When I change the maps the unit reboots as it should but the map hasn't changed!I have had this all running in Igo but can't manage to do it in primo. If anyone who has sorted this out please give me a clue where I may have messed up ?

Did you edit the utility.ini file so that the paths are correct in the [general] section? ...particularly the DirContent= line.
Other than that, you are likely to have all sorts of oddball issues/problems. Now I understand why some things you have asked about do not behave as expected.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

That's what he might expect from going elsewhere to download and install an inferior program! This is why we ALWAYS say to stay here because what we upload is of fine caliber and we know what one has so we can give the proper support.

Point taken.Sorry but I only recently discovered this wonderful place, after many years on Avic411.Tried Primo and now can't do without it.I think I will start from scratch with Primo 2 from here. Thanks to members who have replied and hope I can contribute aswell in some way once I have mastered Primo2.
