Hello everyone.
I was successful in loading the 2013Q4 US map in the iGo8 software. Came from Q1 to Q4 now.
Everything loads up perfectly, but the map doesn't refresh when I take a different route.
Meaning, I have "route" set on fast and it tells me to jump on the motor way. I decide to stay local to see if it works.
The arrow icon is current where I am on the current route, but it doesn't refresh and gives me an alternative route as to the nav lady telling me to go left, right or something. I have to manually click on the two arrows on the upper left to refresh the map to give me an alternative.
Any input on this?

Options are kept in the save folder and are the paramount commands that make the program do what it needs to. When ever you make a change during the current use of the program, the new option will not take effect UNTIL you properly exit the program through the program and a new save folder is created. Hope this answers your question.

Please clarify: You don't necessarily want an alternative route (short, economical, ...) but you want iGO8 (not Primo? which build? any skin?) to recalculate the route? Does it recalculate and not show the new route or is there no recalculation at all?

It's been a while since I used iGO8 but I have a setting for recalculation. However I am (was) using a skin (GJ6-18) which could offer this setting while iGO8 standard doesn't. I can't remember exactly.
In my settings I have
menu > navigation > new route calculation (own translation) I have enabled this setting and set the time to recalculate to 1 sec. When I do not take the route iGO proposes, iGO start recalculating in an instant. The new route is shown on screen instantly also.

See if you have this setting.

And you could try this line in sys.txt

[navigation]
autoreplan_action=”AUTO”

My iGo8 is 8.3.5.19379(May 27 2011)
I have no skins for this version, but would love to alter it for something different and better.
As for the route recalculation, there was no recalculation at all. I noticed an option in the route setting to click on route recalculation and that fixed it for me.
Should I still add
[navigation]
autoreplan_action=”AUTO”[/quote]
into my sys.txt file?

If all works as you expect, the sys.txt line is not needed.
