Map update assistance

Postby maa1506 » Mon Apr 09, 2012 6:55 pm

I have looked at the thread here
http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?9325-iGo-Primo-Navteq-Europe-Q4-2011-Maps-%28released-2012%29-Torrent

Would I be correct in assuming that to get the truck bit to work I have to download both the ftr files and the map files and place them into the same map folder on the sd card?
Also I am using Primo 1.2 (WinCE 6 with Igo Myway Primo 9.2.0.191) will this map be compatible?

The .fbl and .ftr files go into the map folder and then you go to the vehicle profiles and select default truck, then set up the dimensions, iGO will use this data when calculating a route...

Yes.
Also you have to make some changes in settings (truck size etc). Sorry, I am no Primo user myself, so I cannot be very accurate in telling where exactly.

Yes. Always get R3 maps. Which would be not much of a problem since the R0 maps (the other iGO sort of maps, only for iGO 8.0) are very rare these days.

Thanks for the info, will download and give it a go. Quite new to igo, but in terms of truck navigation, so far finding it far better than the tomtom.
