Funny you should ask that. On my initial install there wasn't a "save" folder. Now there is. What is accomplished by deleting this folder.

Which release for the Tom Tom and Navtek?

Good news about the save folder. The save folder now is your save folder not from previous. Can you be more specific about what's happening with the text? Is the program filling up the entire screen?

Maps can be found in the maps sub-section.

Yes, it is. So I just delete the contents or the folder itself as it seems to recreate one if needed?

I've been trying to find in the map sections the NA and POIs but what version are the ones I need?

The text. In one of the screens, as I mentioned, where you have the option to select where you want house numbers to appear (bottom, top or whatever) that portion is overlaid with some text. It's really hard to make out what is being overlaid and it seems at least for now the ONLY screen where this happens. No other section or screen has that issue - well at least the ones I went through to do a quick set-up: check audio, nav and do some simple customization.

I'd be happy to give you more info if you tell me what you'd like to know.

Actually, you might not have to delete the save folder. Yes, a new save folder is re-created every time you exit from the program. Regarding the text problem, is it in settings or find address when you enter a house number? Try changing to the default skin and see if you get the same problem. Since you're from Alaska, do you go to other states that much? I have Oregon maps and pois, Wahington state maps and pois. Those I can give you.

It's in the settings. I'll try and take a picture of it, but it's so small an area I'm not sure it will show much.

As to maps, I would really need Canada and WA/OR would be great. Given it's a thousand miles to Whitehorse (ask me how I know) those will probably keep me for a while and would be greatly appreciated.

You're right, it was the skin that caused the problem. When I changed back to the default there was no problem. I'm attaching a picture to show you.

I don't have Canada POIs; only map. Make a request for Canada TA [TomTom] POIs.

PW: navitotal

If the text thing is your only problem and the program works then don't worry about it.

I was just providing feedback.

Would the old Canada POI (Canada_NT_2011.Q2_110721.poi) work? I know the maps don't but was wondering about the POIs.

Thank you again for your help!

They would but you will be better off with TA POIs.
