My device is Mio Spirit v737
i installed iGO8, but now i cannot connect my mio to pc..
i have the same problem whitch in this post:

i readed the post and tried to apply the solution to my mio...
but i couldnt install MioPucket on my mio!!!
Can anyone help me how to solve this problem !
Or how can i install MioPucket on my mio!
plz help me to save my Mio !!

Did you install igo to a memory card? If so can you launch the program?

how did you install igo? did you rename igo to spirit? did you change the path? did you backup your device program?

What did you use to unlock your Mio? When you plug the USB cable into your device and computer, what do you see in "My Computer?" Can you post a screenshot of My Computer?

I see this problem with Mio/Navmans a lot, He's interrupted the normal startup sequence with his own program and now the non-standard usb drivers are not loading, If the flat battery trick doesn't work and he has no way to launch a program from a memory card it's going back to the shop.

If he can launch igo from a memory card then he can launch total commander in it's place and launch the usb drivers manually from \windows.

You have corrupted your Mio Moov mainshell mspath settings.

Now answer this questions first

1) Do you mean that you cannot connect your Mio Moov to the computer via usb cable mass storage.
2) Did you have MioPocket installed before this happens.
3) Do you have a backup copy of your mainshell.xml and mainshell.ini
4) Can you still access your unit internal flash disk using file manager or tool manager
5) Is other programs still working.
6) If possible state your Rom software version.
7) Which is your original navigation software installed before Igo

All required before knowing what happens. If possible upload pictures the boot up screen where it hangs.

Yes, i cannot connect my Mio to PC via usb cable.

NO.

No. I cannot access my internal flash disk.

Just iGO8 still running, when start my Mio iGO8 starting automaticaly.

When startup the Mio in the black screen appears this code in white: MOOV735.R20.VT705.0810.MBR03

7) Which is your original navigation software installed before Igo

i dont rememmber, but its the orginal one comes with Mio!

I installed the I-GO directly to the mio and not to the memory card, thats what cause to block the MIO after trying to exit the IGO

I changed the path to I-GO
when restarted I start to install the IGO, after installing the IGO I tried to exit but it blocked.

Indeed there is nothing appears on my computer, the only thing happened whenever I connect the MIO to the PC via USB is error message appears on the device manager told that there is a mass storage could not recovered.

the problem is I can not booting from SD, once I become able to boot from SD card I can load the commandloader and solve the problem accordingly, so please help to find a way to boot from SD

Some mio/navman users report that allowing the battery to run flat by leaving it on overnight seems to sort out connection problems, I've never tried this though.

If MioPocket installed -did the Mio Pocket desktop appear before the hang screen.

You need to access Rom Internal window explorer to get mass storage usb link to computer.

1) Is there a very small white color line at the bottom of the screen.
If you see it. Click several times on the left lower corner. See if a window appears or not.

2) If there is no such line. Now you try tapping along the perimeter of the screen beginning from the left top corner inside the screen.
Tap slowly about 6 to 8 times at about 1 cm area spacing with your finger along the edge and inside the screen area.

3) Repeat tapping until you completed the whole screen perimeter. Stop when you see changes or a line appear.

4) Also try tapping other total areas of the screen surface in small area spacing if you can't see any difference tapping on the perimeter.

5) Hint - the most likely place is the left top corner area - 1 to 1 1/2 cm from top and 1 to 1/1/2 cm from the left. The hidden icon of WinCe "computer" is there.
Another position is the lower left corner close the bottom. The hidden icon of WinCe "start"
For my unit the area I tapped is at the Mio sign at top left.

Try this out. If you can get to this position. Then it will be easy to recover your unit.

try pressing the hard reset button few times when the device is connected to the computer.
id this does not work then the only thing i can think of is opedning the device and use the short legs' method (making shortage between the battery kegs. never did it. only read about it).
