Miomap & WinCE 5

Miomap & WinCE 5

Postby Fotchy » Mon Feb 11, 2013 2:28 am

Hi,

I have a Navman S200, which has been "unlocked". The device has the following specifications (WinCE 5, 480x272 screen resolution, 128MB SD-RAM). I am looking to install Miomap on a SD card labelled "Storage Card". Can you please help me with install? If you could post a link for software that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Shane

Forget MioMap. It's outdated and you will not find maps.
Instal iGO8.3.5 or Primo2 instead.

Thank you nabi for your advice. I have installed iGO Primo 2 successfully on my device and the software runs well with all the features one would want with GPS navigation. Only wanted to try MioMap because i like playing around with different GPS software. Would you have to have a version of MioMap i could try out just for testing purposes? I don't mind the fact that the program may be outdated.

Cheers,

Shane

MioMap was abandonned in 2007 or 2008, I think. I may be wrong about the year but it will be very hard to find a copy.

Ok, thanks for your help, much appreciated. I will keep on the lookout for MioMap download link, however in the meantime I will try iGO 8, as you suggested.

Found a Torrent. The chances of finding any other way to download are slim and none.
Copy and paste the below into your installed Torrent Client on your PC:
Code: Select all
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:YL2JVGTU5ULJ3N6KO72KSTGOS5RDJARF&dn=MioMap%20_3.2_PDA_All_Languages_January07_Eastern_and_Western_European_maps_2007.01.rar&tr=http%3A%2F%2Ftracker.thepiratebay.org%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.thepiratebay.org%3A80%2Fannounce&tr=http%3A%2F%2Ftracker.openbittorrent.com%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3A80%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.publicbt.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.istole.it%3A6969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.ccc.de%3A80&xl=1143184167

Description provided:
MioMap 3.2 PDA from January 19 2007 includes:

- Complete Eastern and Western European maps 2007.01 (Actually some maps are 2006.10 and some are 2007.04).

- All available languages, both for menus and guidingvoices.

- Speedcamdatabase from Feb 17 2007.

Unrar and copy to a SD-card. Put the card in ur PDA or PNA with Windows Mobile and install. No need to crack.

And I think Nabi is correct...there seems to have been one more version (3.3) released in 2008, but that was the end.
Disclaimer:
I only checked the Torrent to make sure it was still valid..downloading now, but slow...expect a couple hours or more for the total 1.06GB size.
I make no claims to the content or whether it works or how to install it...proceed at your own risk.
I have no intention of installing or supporting in any way.
Finding maps other than what it claims to include....consider that impossible.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Thanks Yurbuh Tuggly for finding a download link for MioMap software. Downloading MioMap now, however i noticed there is no map for Australia included. I've searched around the net for Australia map, however few links available are dead. Didn't realize that maps would be that hard to find. Sorry for any inconvenience that I may have caused you. I appreciated all your efforts, I think for now I will continue using iGO Primo 2.4. In my opinion, iGO Primo is the best GPS software to run on WinCE 5 devices, in terms for its functionality and ease of use.

@ Fotchy

Take a look at my signature line. For your benefit, you should forget MioMap! I'm talking from experience. There are other better programs available.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
