i am new to this forum saying hi to everyone.
i am neel from canada, i just got Clarion NX501,which is manufactured 2011 , looking to upgrade navigation with most latest map of (USA/CANADA) , also latest and stable version of IGO for Clarion NX501 ...can some expert point me right direction ??
i have original micoSDHC. (4GB) that i don't want to screw , so i will try with another card first...

Good move getting a new SD card. Put the other one in a safe place. To make the program work on your device will just need some entries in the sys.txt OR it might just work "out of the box."

so the number 8.5.3.111xxxx is the version for IGO ??
how to check what IGO version is currently installed in my unit ??
in that case i need only most latest North american map only ...i guess

sorry for photo link...my point was just show pic. not linked to another forum...i will be careful another time...
my deck has SD card , i tried to get back up and re install in another 4 gb card ..if one is broken i have another safe copy...
but as i restore image to another card it didn't work..
i don't have a enough courage to play with origianl card..just in case if it mesh up..
so i download IGO primo english just the software from this forum...

can some one please point me how to modify the path in sys.txt the run above programme in my NX-501 smoothly ??

so i have extra copy of another SD card ...if original is screwed ...at least i have a GPS alive...somehow...
this is almost $500 unit ..gps just relay on SD card !!!!

The most basic issue in instaling a new version, is to keep the name of the folder and the exe file the same name as the original was.

Copy the folders/files to the new SDcard. DO NOT unzip "zip" files, copy them as-is.
If your original folder name was "iGO8", rename the folder on the SDcard to this name.
If your original exe file was "igopna.exe", rename the file on the SDcard to this name.
For the folder and file name, pay attention to upper and lower letters.

i copy everything and rename the folder / file name .exe
it gives me resolution error
" user interface resolution (800 X 480) is not supported OR compatible skin can not be found exiting application"

is 800 X 480 ..NX-501 has a 800 X 600
i have to found skin or compatible primo 2....can somebody point right direction please....

I am asking because on my HD I found a version "Primo 9.6.5_223767 CLARION NX502E" and in data.zip, only one resolution file is present : 800_480

yes..i realize after i post, my NX-501 is 800 x 480 ..NOT 800 x 600..sorry..
trying to understand are this both same ?? just one has multi resolution and multi language and one has just english only ??

i need only English language and i wasn't aware about resolution so i download (2) , and i got resolution related error...as mention in above post
or if i did something wrong in copy to SD card !!
here are the steps how i did !!
1) i download the all package (there is software only NO Maps)
2) i check the original 4GB SD card which came with NX-501
3) there is folder name " Navigation /Navigation.exe "
4) i copy all download package " Primo 2" to newer SD card
5) i rename primo 2 folder and primo2.exe to " Navigation /Navigation.exe " respectively as original with case respect
6) i copy and paste original SYS.txt from original card to this new downloaded sys.txt

where am i doing wrong.. do i keep downloaded sys.txt as it without touch ...what ??
please point me right direction..

Keep the multi resolution. In content/lang you can delete all languages that aren't needed (first get it to work).
Delete the save folder! It will be remade.
Look in sys.txt if there are some resolution related lines. They are not that difficult to spot. Change the values so that they match 800x480

but i have to download
