MyGuide and problems with resolution

Postby sekicz » Mon Jun 10, 2013 8:01 pm

Hi. I have Myguide nav. I put there Primo 2 but when I run it, it says that I have unsupported resolution(320x240) but page where I get Primo says "Supported device resolutions:
320x240
480x234
480x272
800x480"

Try including this entry in your Primo sys.txt:

[interface]
resolution_dir="320_240"

Plus you may need to delete your save folder.

EDIT: Completely shutdown your device, wait a few seconds and re-start.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

I would suggest using a version of primo from this site as we know they work and haven't been fiddled with.

any of that two skins thats come with it, dont work on 320x240
[project]
name="igo8_pda"

[folders]
app="Flash Disk/myguide"
Content="Storage Card/iGO8/Content"

[interface]
skin="gjak_1.08_P24"
resolution_dir="320_240"
extra_settings=1
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

[debug]

Make sure that the references to the app(Primo.exe) and the folder content are correct so:
[folders]
app="Flash Disk/myguide"-->Primo.exe, data.zip etc are located on the Flash Disk in the folder Myguide
Content="Storage Card/iGO8/Content"--->Folder content is located on the sd-card in folder igo8.
Are these references correct? Pls check because if that is wrong, Primo will not work
Add line:
has_secondary_root=0

The references to the resolution are wrong, espescially the reference:
skin="gjak_1.08_P24"
Remove all existing lines and put following lines instead:
[Interface]
vga=0
show_exit=1
show_minimize=1
extra_settings=1
shutdown_time=0
resolution_dir="320_240"

[rawdisplay]
highres=0
stretch=1
screen_x=320
screen_y=240
class="landscape"

Remove lines:
[project]
name="igo8_pda"

The references for Primo are ui_igo9 and for iGO8 ui_igo8 (check in the data.zip).

Place (help)skins like gjak_1.08_P24 in folder content/skin.

Next remove the folder save and start Primo,select language and voice and complete the installation.
Check all functions (Satellite fix, TMC? etc.)

When Primo is working properly you can select a (help)skin.
