The only drives it is picking up are the 2 HD's in the laptop. I'm guessing I don't need to do anything special to get it to do anything else?!

There's another program similar to Total Commander called Free Commander http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?3859-FreeCommander Maybe it will have better luck. You need to turn your device on first and then plug it into the USB on your computer.

At this point I'm afraid that you might be out of luck. We'll do some investigating but it could take some time and unfortunately be fruitless at that. Perhaps another member reading this that has your exact device could upload their internal for you. Sorry!

EDIT: I understand that this company has taken over your product [Please Register or Login to download file] Maybe they can help.

Thought it would be a pretty long shot. Thanks for helping. Even if someone has the memory, I've got no way of getting it on there!

Let this be a lesson to other gungho users!

Yuck, that didn't look good (watched the video). It stuck in a boot loop.
I hope that program works for you.

Now you know why we say to backup your device FIRST.

According to a Google search this device has a "factory mode" where you can get ActiveSync connectivity, Just trying to find out how to access it...

As i understand it from badly translated russian you need to create an empty text file called autorun_factory.lge and copy it to a SD Card (Not SDHC, Micro SD etc) and insert into device and switch on your device.

If it works you'll see the screen above...

Tap ActiveSync and connect to PC to get access to device to undo what you did (Activesync or WMDC for vista and above is freely available from Microsoft)

4478
This is the correct unlock for the device!

No guarantees it'll work in the devices current state!

I did, the problem is that I can't access the memory to rewrite this data on!

Tried it with a microSD in an adaptor thing and it did nothing. Need to dig out an SD card from somewhere!

Thanks for this, that's the right device, and it certainly looks promising!

The main issue with this is whether the factory menu is loaded after the device is booted (A Windows CE application) or it's part of the bootloader.

The device at the moment is stuck in a reboot loop, presumably it's looking for the original software (Or a certain file within it) and it can't find it so just reboots.

These can be the most difficult problems to fix...

'Sometimes' forcing the device into screen calibration mode breaks a reboot cycle, although you need to know the magic filename to use this fix, If one exists!

oh wow, I've got it to flick onto that setup screen for about .5sec! I can even push a button if I'm fast. Problem is it just goes back round again!!
