Navman IGO8 install

Tue Jul 12, 2011 4:24 am

Hey all,
I just unlocked my navman s90i device and am wanting to install iGO8. I got all the files for it, including the maps i need, but I cant work out how to install it on the device. Can someone give me a step by step, or point me to site that has a tutorial. I looked at all the tutorials on here and found all of them completely unhelpful, didn't know where to put all the files.

Your Navman should have an SD card slot.

I put all the igo files on an SD there and a link on the NEW desktop you get when you unlocked it.

Copy "27#"\Storage Card\iGO8\iGO8.exe" with out the quotes into a text file (use notepad) and save it as iGO8.lnk (thats lnk and not lnk.txt and not Ink) then copy it to the folder called Desktop in the navman.

You may need to edit 27#"\Storage Card\iGO8\iGO8.exe" to where you have installed iGO and the name of the exe file.
leave the quotes in

What did you unlock it with? All the files can go on the sd card in there respective folders. Perhaps if you can tell us what files you have, also I would recomend Primo 1.2 instead of iGO8.

primo 1.2 will not run so good on s90i, cause it has just 64mb, it will dificult processing speedcams, 3d buildings, etc. , maybe to use primo but just with maps+pois, and some building for countries you need...

For primo 1.2 is recommended 128mb ram.

Works fine on my S90i, but then that's with Australian maps, buildings etc. Maybe other largercounties maps etc might cause problems.

sure, like i told, with more stuff inside, it works slower...
