Hi Guys,

I have tried tons and tons of different versions of 8.3 now and just can't get it to launch..

I am 99% there it updates all the files it needs, then says success and waiting to start and then it just says Can't find navigation...

I am sure i am so close and its just a sys.txt issue maybe...

Please help someone

Thanks in Advance

Lee

Make sure the new executable has the same filename as the original.

However a new problem will arise, The original software was modified to work with the hardware sound mixer, meaning there will be no sound on the new version, only the updated version from Halfords will work.

Are you 100% sure that the path to the new .exe is exactly the same as the old .exe? Check for double spaces in file/folder names

Is there any error message?

Yeah its exactly the same, I am wondering though if i need to copy it from iGO8.exe to Navigation.exe instead of renaming it... maybe it needs the iGO.exe to be there ?

But if you say the sound doesn't work its pointless for me anyway :-(, i have just spent the last 4 hours trying to go down the route of Miopocket, i managed to get that installed but as you say no sound.... I haven't a clue what to put the aaashell.dll (the sound driver) in windows CE to get the sound working in miopocket..

You can put aaashell.dll wherever you want, it won't work unless the application calls it. In reality all you can do is buy an updated sd card from Halfords as this is one device that can't be unlocked.
