Need NAV N GO iGo 8.3.2.71348

Mon Dec 03, 2012 5:42 am

Hi Friends,
It is great to be here.

- A total newbie to GPS, can understand and work around technology terms.

- I registered looking for help regarding NAV N GO iGo 8.3.2.71348 built

-I was going through the GPS menu and selected "Delete all user data" and at that point this chinese
made device crashed to a blank screen (power off). I soft-reset, start the device and run the GPS app
I get a warning "Application failed to start last time. Do you want to reset to factory defaults and lose
all your POIs, tracks and settings? Yes/No Selecting either Yes or No takes me to the Windows 6.1
phone menu (this is a WIN CE 6.0 device and also has Windows Mobile 6.1) and the problem still exists. I've checked
the NavAppPath which is set to IGO8.exe.

- I tried a few things on the net, but to no avail
even tried this thread http://www.navitotal.com/showthread....lem-installing

- Could you please provide a link to download/replace? the said version so I can replace mine

Thanks

It's hard to say what is wrong, Possibly your SD card that got corrupted. Copy/move your software to a pc and back to the blank sd.
That could solve the issue.
Would you not better consider a newer build? 71348 is dated 7 january 2009. Check out our program section.

Hi Nabi,

I have this installed in the device and not the SD card, you think formatting that partition and replacing the files would do the trick? I shall try and get back to you

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you're saying here. Please explain better. Thanks.

On what device?
Sys.txt?

To remove the warning message, try adding in sys.txt :

[network]
available=0

[tmc-http]
enabled=0

[http]
enabled=0

That is the warning message dispalyed on device startup, I press the OK option after which it continues to the map and works flawlessly.

Yet everytime there I startup the device the mentioned error message is displayed.
Given under is the
---------
SYS.TXT
---------
[debug]
skip_eula=1
experimental_features=1

[folders]
has_secondary_root=0

[interface]
show_exit=1
extra_settings=1

[other]
demo_enabled=0

[vr]
disabled=1

Strange! But if all you're getting is a warning message and all you have to do is press OK to continue successfully on to the program, then my suggestion is to forget the problem and not do anything further. It doesn't seem to be a bad thing. After all, the updated program was free.

Does your device have internet connection capability ? If not, just put these on sys.txt :

[network]
available=0

[tmc-http]
enabled=0

[http]
enabled=0
