Needed help on software

Postby EZorb » Wed Oct 24, 2012 10:26 pm

I am in the USA and need a little help with my new unit I installed in my car. I am a little confused. So I thought I would ask questions while waiting to check if this unit has hardware failure described in other post.

On the below unit I have installed on the SD card _iGo Primo 2.0 Build 9.6.5.211211 (Dec 07 2011) and iGO US Canada Navteq 2011 Q4 (2012).rar_.

Is there a latter version of the above maps?

Should the SD card be in Lock position?

The GPS does not tell you the street name. So I think I need to install TTS files.

Not currently...you have the newest commonly available.

No.

Yes, TTS (Text To Speech) is required for street names to be vocalized.
Whether you already have the required files for this depends where and how you got the version of Primo you currently have.
If you can do a Torrent and you need the files for TTS, see here:
iGO-Primo-2.0-Nuance-TTS-Pro-Voices-Torrent
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.
