I've got 2 GPS units I've put the new USA/Canada 2013 maps on, and for no reason at all, at different times, goes off, then turns right back on, and reloads iGo again, and works... Annoying
as can be...
Anyone else notice this issue?

Checked 5 random maps. No problem at all.

No. The last weeks, I did some longer (each +400 kms) driving, once drove almost 7 hours during the day, using Primo 2.4 and 2013Q1 maps. No issues what so ever.

OK... thats good news.... Last night, I decided to wipe the SD card, and install brand new on it.. I'll see if that took care of the issue...
Thanks for checking...

I'm having an issue with my GPS unit.. Everytime I try to install the q1 2013 maps (from here), my GPS just does a reboot at random times. It happens mainly with a address I'm driving to.
Have yet to see it happen with no address..
So, I'm asking... If you're using iGO 2.1, 2.2 or 2.4, and have the q1 2013 USA maps installed, and are not having any issues at all, could you please RAR/ZIP up you're folders and allow me to download them?
Thanks in Advance..

I am using Primo 2.0 and having the same problem. Had to go back to 2012 Q4 maps.

At this point, I wish I had the privilege to lock the thread.
Why to open another thread on same subject? If anyone could help, he would do it by now.
To bump the old thread is enough.

I agree, so both threads have been merged!

My GPS doesn't restart with the new maps, but when I went to Florida it crashed with an error. I believe it has something to do with it looking for either a driver alert or warning that is on the map, but not available in the version of igo I was using. This happened using Igo8. Now, it ran fine in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, and Ohio without any problems at all. I had another GPS with me that I used as a backup with the same version of Igo8 but with the Q4 2012 maps and it had no problems in Fla. So something is up with the Q1 2013 maps. My guess is it is a compatibility issue with either pieced together data.zip or brandinng.zip's or they are only compatible with official data or branding.zip's or specific versions of igo software. I am basing it on the error. I have not tried the Q12013 maps using Primo yet. Although it sounds like people using Primo are experiencing the same problems. For now, I am back to the Q42012 maps and they seem to work without any problems.

Sorry that I asked 2 times... But, it does now seem that there are problems with the new maps for USA.. Something about them is making some GPS units crash/reset/reboot...
Just trying to make sure it wasn't just my 2 GPS units..
On another note.. I put them on a 3rd (China unbranded) running iGo Primo 2.4, and it did the same thing.. Put the q4 2012 maps back, and it never crashed again...
Yes, I downloaded the program, and the maps from here.. So, it has to be something in the maps.

You could probably trace this back to the original leak, that upload was corrupted somehow, which has been reuploaded many times.
It would only take a bad few bytes in the map to cause a problem.

The only corrupted map (AFAIK) was Wyoming.

Never DL'd Wyoming..
I've downloaded the maps, at least 3 times from here.. Same issue everytime... I just hope when Q2 is released, it'll be fixed.

Same problem here in NY. It had me go on a road that was not really the name of the road but a symbolic name only [Q113]. I went back to Q412 and all was fine again with the real name. IMHO, use only iGO8 in US and not Primo.

Same here in Fl with primo2.4. When I designate a site to go to It reboots randomly. I reloaded 4Q-2012 and all is good again
