I have to wonder if my instructions are clear enough. Perhaps there is some misunderstanding. Would anyone else like to make a contribution post?

Clarification time:
You have a FOLDER on the SD Card named mobilenavigator, correct?
Inside that folder are all the iGo files and folders with iGo8.exe renamed to mobilenavigator.exe, correct?
MOVE the sys.txt file from the SD Card (inside the mobilenavigator folder) to your PC. Edit the file with notepad as stated above...just put the semi-colons in front of the two lines. Save the sys.txt file. Copy sys.txt back to the mobilenavigator folder on the SD Card.
Report back what happens.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

You have an iGO8 program presently on a SD card from the manufacturer. Do they have anything from them that will give you a clue?

Not necessarily in this case. When a member might have difficulty with one person's instructions, sometimes someone else can fill-in with something else to try. We're talking trial and error. This is what makes the Navitotal team of mods the best on the net!

You don't see a "Next" button?
If not, it's probably off the screen as the included sys.txt is not setup for your resolution (320-240).
Exit out, move sys.txt to your PC as before and change this:
Code: Select all
resolution_dir="480_272"

to this:
Code: Select all
resolution_dir="320_240"

Save sys.txt, copy back to SD Card and try again.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Glad to hear that you got it going.

This is because you now have the wrong resolution in the sys.txt. This is one of the changes that you have to make. In the sys.txt of the program, you'll see the values of 480_272. I want you to change those values to 320_240. Don't forget to save the sys.txt before exiting the application.

Also, I want you to delete the save folder.

Just saw your post YT.

It sounds like it's approaching memory error. Did you add any contents at all besides the map and the POIs?
I want NO dems, speedcams, buildings - nothing but what I gave you.

Did you delete the save folder like I recommended above?

You should keep one map of wherever you currently are to check that the GPS can lock and show your current location.

combat goofwing wrote:ots of stuff in the phone me folder also

You can delete that entire folder..it's only for TTS which that device will never have.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.
