Unfortunately, this is why EBAY can be a crapshoot sometimes. The seller can promise almost anything but you have to take that with a grain of salt. Is your device doing anything right now? What nav program is installed? What can you tell us about the device's specifications?

From what I can tell (if the information in the link is still valid) the device is/has:
7" 800x480 display
FM transmitter
4GB storage
128MB Ram
Bluetooth

All good.

Now the bad:
Unknown Operating System (but my bet would be a version of WinCE)
iMigo Truck Software <---absolutely no idea what that is or how it works, or what maps it uses, or anything else about it.

Taking the Good (and the bet) into consideration, you could probably run any modern Navigation software you want (except for maybe TomTom if it happens to be a WinCE 6.x device), and the latest Primo versions include Truck options and up to date maps for just about everywhere.

So it's up to you where you go from here, but if you want to change the software, it may take some time (and more information from you) to get it up and running on your device...it depends what you see when you first turn it on.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Sygic is actually still running.. They have great software for Android..

I'm also gonna say, it sounds like this unit has WinCE of some sort on it. Easiest way, is to plug it in to a computer with a usb connection
and running windows.

Does this device also have a SD card slot? If not, its not that big a deal, but, before you decide to do anything with it.. Make sure you backup all the folders and files that are found on the device.
Then, and only then, after you have verified you have everything backed up.. You could install something, or try another nav software.

Good luck!

Forget about MioPocket. It is much too bloated. You cannot have two unlocks on your device. Just copy this to the device's internal http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?3290-My-3.3-internal-Flash-drive-with-the-Mio-unlock-already-contained Download this program and extract it to your SD card http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?6880-Igo8-March-5-2011 Add .fbl maps to content\map and you should be good to go.

You probably can but a SDHC is better. Besides they're pretty cheap right now.

A card is usually better than messing with the device's internal drive.

OK chas521, I am having difficulty with the instal. I have done this...Deleted all from internal drive on device, copied Mio Device to internal drive hd, copied to sd card iGO8 - and map into content/maps..I am still stuck with the old map. I know I am doing something wrong, so I re-read instructions and the same result..Do I need to do some txt mods in some file to get the the map on sd card ? I do appreciate the help you are giving me, but maybe I am doing it completely wrong..I am going slow, step by step..

Hey...Disregard post # 14..I have it up and running great.. Thx for your help..VI4RUS..Cheers
