Newbie and totally confused

Postby simran » Sat May 17, 2014 9:11 pm

Hi Guys,

I am totally new to this forum and the concept of sat nav's etc etc.

I have looked through many posts on here, other forums and via google to help understand what I have to do to get iGo Primo 2.4 running on my Eonon 5150 which runs Win CE as far as I know.

Each post is either too difficult to interpret with all the coding or has loads of dead links can someone help me or guide me to what I need to do, or if I have missed a tutorial they can show me.

Thanks in advance.

The Eonon is simple to install iGO on...

Download the iGO primo application (Any will do as long as it's not a specific device build. Tip, look for chas521's uploads)
Download the maps and other content
Put ONE map file (.FBL) in the map folder and ONE POI file (.POI) in the poi folder, leave any other maps, pois and other files for now
Copy the root primo folder to a suitable (micro?) SD card and put into the device
In the device setup menu there should be a nav path/setup or similar, use this to select the iGO executable.

You may need to tweak a file to pickup satellites or get it to start at all...
Currently sleeping...

Thank you so much for your help! I managed to get it working after much struggle, however after using it for a few days my device seems to keep rebooting continously every time it tries to load up the nav.

Try Primo 2.0 seems to be more stable for some reason (2.4 crashes for me as well)

The crashes on my device were gone after updating the global_cfg.
I use 2.4 more than 2.0
