Newbie Question For Loading IGO8

Postby gsthunder » Mon Apr 22, 2013 1:25 pm

Ok.

Here is another question( sorry there are so many ). In the building files there are 2 for each. 1 ends in .dl and the other in .dc. Which do I need or is it both?

Thanks.

I have to hit an ACCEPT button for it to proceed on and finish opening IGO. It is a PITA! Hopefully that can be disabled.

I see some things that can be modified in your program but if it's working I don't want to touch anything.

Yeah, it seems to be working fine so let's leave well enough alone.

I added the speedcam txt file like you said just FYI.

Did you discover what the deal was with the sound?

1 - it has chas521's igo.exe and license folder as the ones from the radio mfg will not work without the original SD card.

2 - No maps/POI/dem to save space

Everything else is there from the mfg supplied radio SD card.

Please upload your original igo.exe and folder license , i want to look inside your exe file :clapping_mini:

In order for the speedcams/red light cameras to work properly, you need to have a satellite lock. In settings [I think it's warnings - honestly I forget] you can set the option to receive audio/video warnings on the map and speakers. I also believe you have to open the option up further [I think it's double dots] to do the option further. Just know, that the audio speedcams will not happen if you simulate a route. It has to be in real navigation.

The loquendo on GEE0809 is similar to a Becker Z113 .

And the TTS is just one of the things that I could modify making it much more user-friendly to almost everyone. Also. I have modified Susan [US] and Kate [UK] English files to be 20% louder. Plus, I and kamoteka have modified the English lex file to be in English and not computerese. This makes it possible to make audio better. For example, "roundabout" is now "traffic circle" here in the US and the audio says that.

Navigation.exe inside GEE0809 its a kind of power shell , dont understand what is doing really , but if i put inside my nav and rename it to igo8.exe it looks for igo.exe , so i renamed igo8.exe to igo.exe and the navigation programs seem to start normally as usual

I would say computerese also in Italian and have the same meaning as below ...
(In Italy we say Inglese for English , Francese for French , note the similitude with computerese)
language used by those in the business of manufacturing, selling, servicing, or using electronic computers, characterized by many abbreviations and acronyms, excessive use of technical jargon, and, frequently, lack of concern for traditional spelling and grammar.

What I mean by English [or any real language] and not just a file of incoherent symbols but actual letters.
