Only When Speeding

Only When Speeding

Postby macgd016 » Sun Dec 23, 2012 10:20 am

I have IGO8 8.3.2.93112 which seems to work OK but there are seceral settings that it wont save. Most setting save just fine but others will not. For instance setting the Speed Warning within built up areas to 110% saves ok but the general speed slider setting does not save. I have got round most of these settings by putting them in the sys,txt but there is onme that I cant work out. I have Speed Camera Alerts switched on and when I first set it it is set to Only When Speeding which is what I want, however, when I EXIT the program and reload it this is then set to When Approaching. Try whay I may I am unable to find a setting in sys.txt for this, does anyone have any ideas?

8.3.2? I think it's more than time to upgrade don't you think? Then let's address this issue again. Maybe with the upgrade, the problem will be gone.

EDIT: Just thinking, maybe some sectors on your SD card have gone bad also. It might be a new SD card is needed.

I did fix this problem by using some additional statements in sys.txt but I'm not sure which one fixed it sorry. I have since loaded 8.3.5 as suggested and this also fixes the problem so thanks for the link. Is this the latest version of IGO, I have tried Primo but I dont like it as much.

There is a newer version of iGO8 - a few months that is - but it really isn't any much different from the one you downloaded and now use. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
