Hey guys I have a Phonocar vm036 device in my car.
I've installed igo primo v 2.9 and everything is ok with maps and speedcam, but I have a problem with poi.
I've downloaded Italian poi ( I come from Italy) and put it under content/poi folder.
I have also download extended poi and put in.
The problem is that when I launch the navigator and go on maps and open map setting to enable poi visualization, the system tell me that no poi are available!
There is also a sub menu that allow me to save or load poi ( I think load from sdcard) but the load option is disabled.
Can anyone please help me to enable poi visualization on map?
I need to see poi about fuel station in Italy!!!
Thanks in advance

I have also download extended poi and put in.
Do you have both the normal poi and extended poi for Italy? The extended poi does not work on it's own.

I have both extended and not extended in the same path with different name. This may cause the problem of no poi visibility?

Replace your global_cfg.zip (at "YOUR_DEVICE/content/global_cfg") to the
latest version.

By its name, this file is used to configure general parms for the program. Maybe the file in your device is an old version.
Yes, replacing this file should fix your problem.
The file name have nothing to to with it, you can name the file whatever you like. The program read the internal header of the file, and as long as it is the right type of file (fbl, fda, fpa, poi etc.) and in the correct folder, it use it correctly.

So i have to replace the global_cfg and also delete the extended poi because don't work?
Other user tell me that the poi will work only if there are extended and normal poi in the same folder. Is this true?

The extended poi is an add-on pack for the normal poi, it doesn't work on its own.

I told you to replace the file. No one told you to delete the extended poi. The replacement should make both files to work.

This is not just a "Other user", this is our very experienced global moderator, you can count on him, and this is not what he was telling you, read post #2 again.

Replace the global_cfg.zip (4th time I'm writting it).
Normal poi will work as a stand alone.
Extended poi will not work as a stand alone.
Extended poi will work only if you have the normal poi and extended poi in same folder.
Replace the global_cfg.zip (5th time I'm writting it).

I never said that at all. Vinny90 apparently misunderstood. I said that he needed both POI files [normal and extended] in content\poi because just having extended installed alone will not work.
BTW, I'm chas521 not chase52.
