POI's

Postby lostboy2 » Thu Dec 26, 2019 10:42 pm

Two sat navs running Premo. Both Xgody and one is a 7" and other 5". The 5" was bought almost a year later but the POI's on this on show the fuel stations as the company's logo. The 7" this does not happen and its all just the blue bubble so what do i need to copy over to allow the logo or is this a sys txt line?

Thanks

What country are you looking at? Are both devices using the same POI file?

Chancing my luck and took a copy of the 5" satnav and its slowly installing in the 7". They both had two start up and close pictures in different resolutions so fingers crossed. Took a backup so no real drama if it does not work.

I'm happy you found a solution.
Did the files you copied include a "branding.zip"?

I have been working to understand branding.zip files and it would help me a lot if you could attach your one to a post so I can see what a proper working file looks like.

If you want to try making your own icons I can help you with that, its very satisfying to do :)

It does not say very much on the file

Code: Select all
[Branding]
<Navigation Software>="iGO Primo 2.4"
<Web Address> | <Support E-mail>="www.GPSZone.ro"

OK no icons in there :), no matter it was worth a try! Are your POI files from HERE or TomTom?

It's a busy time of day for me so I'll send links to a couple of useful icon creation apps and some brief instructions to get you started a bit later. What resolution are your devices?
