Primo 9.2.0.191493 May 11 2011

Postby jerha » Mon Jul 25, 2011 2:20 pm

Hi,
I have successfully installed Nabi's "Primo 9.2.0.191493 May 11 2011". Everything works fine except the voices. It sounds OK when you choose the presenter, but they are all stuttering when navigating. It sound more like occasional scratching than a person talking.
I am running it on a HTC-HD2 (Primo 1.1 works perfectly).
Does anyone know how I can solve this?

Thanks in advance,
jerha

A couple questions:
1) I think that original download (which is not available any more so I can't check it) was only the EXE and the data.zip--did you put those into an existing Primo 1.2 installation?
2) Are you talking about TTS voices or non-TTS voices? If TTS, how much program RAM does your device have?

1) Sorry, you are right. I used Nabi's "Primo V1.2 (9.2.1.178658 - Feb. 9, 2011)" as a basis, but never tested it before copying the May 11 version over it.
2) It is NOT the TTS voice. Its the normal voice which gives you directions. I have added the csv_voice_enabled=1 in the sound section.

Well, that might be a first step--restore the original files if possible, and see if that makes any difference. If not, there may be something wrong in your voice files (these were not copied from Primo 1.1, right?).
The "sample" voice that you hear when selecting a voice is fake (unless the voice file has been modified). It's just a WAV file--not the actual voice at work.
