Primo 1.2 and 2.0: Does not find GPS receiver anymore after

Sun Jan 15, 2012 4:58 pm

Hi everyone, I have two 320x240 GPS units running WinCE 5. Primo 1.2 and 2.0 run great unless I power off (which is not real power off, more standby) the units and turn them back on again after a couple of hours. Primo gets into "Searching GPS receiver" mode and I have to hard reset the devices, sometimes even unplugging the battery inside is required. It doesn't matter whether I "hard code" the GPS settings in sys.txt or have Primo detect the receiver automatically. Detection always works with a clean install (save folder deleted, going through initial setup wizard).
Does the "GPS Calibration fix" in this forum help? But it is not really the calibration, it is the "loss" of the receiver I'm looking to get fixed upon resuming.

BTW: I also have two 480x272 devices with WinCE 5. Not the problems here. Can the data.zip have something to do with the problem?

Something was changed with the way Primo handles GPS data between 1.1 and 1.2, This affects some devices (including my PDA)

Did any other software work correctly before?
