Primo Android 9.6.7 Problem

Postby da.bish » Tue Oct 02, 2012 6:44 pm

Downloaded from here, installed okay including map etc.

When I try to run I get this:

Missing or incomplete folder:
/data/data/com.navngo.igo.javaclient/content/lang

Does anyone have a solution for this?

That should be /data/data/com.navngo.igo.javaclient/content/lang

Are you able to browse to that folder? You shouldn't need root access to browse there.

Sorry I can read the words but I don't understand what is being said to me...

Being flippant, if you can tell me what I have to do, I'll give it a go.

Cheers.

I was trying to establish what exactly the error message is...

/data/data/com.navngo.igo.javaclient/cont/lang

The highlighted folder above has never existed, It should be...

/data/data/com.navngo.igo.javaclient/content/lang

/ is root, You need a rooted phone to write in this directory
data/data/ is where Android stores it's application data
com.navngo.igo.javaclient/ is the internal package name for igo, you don't normally see this.
content/ is just like the content folder we're all used to, so therefore...
lang/ should have language files in it!

Check the iGO folder on sdcard, is the content folder wrong?

Correct - /data/data/com.navngo.igo.javaclient/content/lang

No such entry exists on sd card. I unzipped data and explored and nothing found. Download the .apk from this site.

Content folder correct... Using Sony Experia U.

Language files exist on card, deleted all expect English.

See here:
When-you-want-help......
If you can provide a link to whatever it is you downloaded and are trying to get to work, that would help. Information like "I got it from this site" or "I got it somewhere else" is not helpful. Posts/downloads/distributions from the Moderators here are fully tested, working, and supported. Posts from others may be OK too, but there can be differences.
Show us exactly what you got, from where, and we can help you to fix it..or replace it if necessary.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

There should be an iGO folder on sdcard, but be warned that with Android sdcard might not be a physical sd card, but the internal memory.

The two folder locations should mirror each other, make changes to the content folder on sdcard, then the other folder will be updated

Check in your folder 'iGO"...do you see a sys.txt file (it should have been created there during the install of the APK)?
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Then I would suggest three things:
1) Delete any Save folder in the iGo folder, and double check that the rest of the folders and files...particularly the structure of the content folder... are correct as per the full download.
2) Completely uninstall Primo ...Android Settings>apps>Primo>Force Close>Delete Data>Uninstall.
3) Reboot phone (to flush any cache data that may remain in working memory) and re-install the APK and then see what happens.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

...it's not really 3 options...it's 3 steps to one process!
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.
