Primo 2.4 - how to zoom in more on map screen

Postby surreychris » Thu Feb 28, 2013 12:47 pm

Hi all
I have just upgraded my double din 128mb chinese system from igo8.3 to primo 2.4 and am trying it to see if i like it.

On my igo8 i was able to zoom the map in so the streets were larger to see and the 3d car was bigger but i cant seem to do this on the primo.

when i tap the screen to bring up the arrow buttons the '+' zoom in button is greyed out and only the '-' zoom out button is workable which makes the map even further out and the streets smaller.

Ive tried this in both the default skin and the dimka screen.

Is this not possible, id rather see a smaller area and bigger streets etc

thanks

Chris

go to settings\map settings and change the viewpoint to normal, high or low as desired.

if you are using Dimka skin then go to settings\mapsettings tab to enable user zoom settings, then tab user zoom settings and I suggest to do the follwoing (if you dont want the sky to be appeard in the map):

minimum angle 55
maximun angle 72
maximum angle with signposts 78

then in the speed settings select and enable the speed zoom and select the minium speed =1km/h and maximum speed =100km/h

the above are my settings, ofcource you can alter the values for what ever you want.

Hi
I've tried different settings but none make the map zoom in close enough.

It adjusts the angle showing the sky or not but not bringing the area shown smaller.

The screen shows about 20 to 30 square miles instead of prob 5 to 10 that I'd like.

The zoom out button works fine and when I zoom out the zoom in button appears but dissapears when I get back to this level.

As I said, this can be done on 8.3 but I can't find a way with primo 2.4

Thanks for the suggestions

If you are using a sys.txt file try removing it (or what i do is temporarily rename it to testing.txt) and reboot the unit letting the default primo 2.4 settings to kick in. I had a few settings in the sys.txt for primo2 that did not seem to like primo 2.4.

Hi
Tried this by renaming the sys file sysold and made no difference.

I didnt think it would because nothing in the sys file mentions anything about scale with or without min and max values that i maybe could change.

Maybe Primo 2.4 cant zoom in on the map to as small a scale that igo8 can tho I do find that hard to believe
